Virto V are the very latest range of custom ‘in the ear’ hearing aids to be released by Phonak. Available in all four technology levels of 30, 50, 70 and 90, thats Entry Level, Mid Range, Advanced and Premium respectively. Virto V supercedes the older Virto Q range based on the old Quest chipset.
Phonak Virto V is part of the Venture family of Phonak hearing aid technology and is available in all sizes of custom product, including the Nano, the ultra discreet IIC (invisible in canal) model.
So what makes the new Phonak Venture range of hearing aids special? Making use of the new ‘Binaural VoiceStream Technology’ the Virto V detects speech signal and ensures that you can hear it clearly in both ears. The idea is that you can understand more in more listening situations. Below is a breakdown of some of the more important features available in Virto V, followed by a Features Breakdown at the various technology levels. – Click each icon for a short video explaining how the individual feature works–
AutoSense OS – Seamlessly fits to the changing listening environment. AutoSense OS accurately captures and analyzes the sound environment and then, more precisely than ever before, blends feature elements from multiple programs in real time to provide a seamless listening experience.
Speech in Loud Noise enables you to automatically focus on a single voice in a noisy crowd. The hearing aid automatically focusses on the voice you want to hear, allowing you to effortlessly interact in the most cluttered of soundscapes
Speech in Wind – Speech in Wind detects the wind noise in both hearing aids. Then, through sophisticated binaural processing the results are compared in real-time. The aid with the better speech signal is identified and the good signal is streamed to the other side.
Not all features are available on all models, for a full breakdown of the complete range see our Phonak Venture Product and Features Comparison.
To take advantage of all the features available in Virto V means buying the premium product, the V90. For some there will be no option but to do that, but not every client needs all the features that are available to reach the required result.
We always advise that the best product for our clients is the level of technology that matches your lifestyle and expectations, sometimes the best product can be the premium level and sometimes the best product that most closely matches your needs is a mid range technology for instance.
Wireless! – More models than ever before can take advantage of all the wireless goodies available for Phonak wireless hearing aids. All the Phonak Venture range (including some – not all – versions of the CIC but excluding the Nano model) are wireless compatible. Here are some of the many accessories you might want to consider, they are available from our sister website HAB
Phonak Compilot – This streaming accessory allows you to enjoy mobile phone calls and high-clarity stereo sound quality for multimedia audio through your hearing aids. Thanks to Bluetooth, the ComPilot can be easily connected to a huge range of mobile phones, smartphones, computers, tablets, music players and more. It can also be used as a remote control, for changing the hearing aids’ program and volume, and offers VoiceAlerts for easy interaction.
Phonak DECT II – This cordless phone looks like a regular phone, but is actually much more powerful, transmitting sound to both ears simultaneously, reducing noise and maximizing understanding. The phone includes a booster mode for those moments when you are not wearing your hearing aids, and thanks to the wireless streaming, you can hold the phone in a regular manner. Family members without a hearing loss can use the cordless phone just like a regular phone.
