Hello, my name is Paul Minikin. I am the handsome chap on the left, the owner of Digital Hearing Care and a practising hearing aid audiologist. With my dedicated team we run a very busy company active in a number of key hearing related areas.
Our core business over the last fifteen years or so has been helping the hard of hearing in the Yorkshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester area to hear better and to improve lives. I see clients mainly at our office in Keighley, West Yorkshire, as well as overseeing other areas of the business.
Ably assisting me is my colleague Shaun to the right, who undertakes a lot of the back office functions to make sure our very busy office runs smoothly at all times.
Shaun has a background in credit control and financial management, and is also learning fast about the various aspects of business development. If you phone the office you will often speak to Shaun, particularly on matters of administration.
My colleague Helen is our lead audiologist and offers a home visit hearing service (offering home hearing tests, advice and aftercare services) for the needs of clients new and old mainly in the West and North Yorkshire area.
Helen has a vast amount of experience in the hearing aid world, training and working initially within the NHS as an audiologist, before progressing to work as a representative for the leading hearing aid manufacturer Oticon for a number of years.
After taking some time out on maternity leave Helen decided she wanted a change of direction and moved into the private sector, and came to work for Digital Hearing Care in 2015. Helen has been a valued member of our team ever since. Helen is currently on maternity leave and expected back in circulation around October 2019.
My colleague Steve takes care of home visits, hearing tests, advice and aftercare mainly in South and East Yorkshire and is also currently covering for Helen’s maternity leave, making sure we keep on offering the very high standard of care our clients old and new have come to expect. Steve also runs his own business as well as being an integral part of Digital Hearing Care.
Steve has a long history in the field of audiology, he’s been around a while! He trained as an audiologist with the NHS and qualified in 1976 in Sheffield. Steve worked within the NHS until 1994 when he decided to move into the private sector.
My colleague James takes care of home visits, hearing tests and aftercare in Lancashire and Greater Manchester. James works as an audiologist with Digital Hearing Care as well as running his own business and also supplying training services for our sister company FM Hearing Systems.
James has been helping the hard of hearing public for many years locally and is renowned for his caring and professional manner, he’s always happy to go the extra mile!
