Amplifon are a multinational hearing aid supplier, their corporate headquarters are in Italy. In 2006 they purchased the Ultravox Group of companies to build their presence in the UK market. This umbrella organisation included the companies of Amplivox, Ultratone, Sietech and Hearing Health.
At the time the company was the largest in the UK, although in recent times it seems to have lost some market share, mainly to internet retailers and other low cost suppliers.
Their hearing aid prices tend to be high in comparison to others in the market, although not quite as high as the most expensive hearing aids available in the UK at Hidden Hearing. Choice of technology is somewhat limited in common with most national hearing aid suppliers, Amplifon tend to supply GN ReSound products in the main but also supply in smaller numbers some Phonak products.
For premium products Amplifon tend to charge around £5000 for a pair of hearing aids as opposed to around £3000 with us.
